July 4th Recap

For the 4th of July holiday we decided to get out of dodge and see the sun! We had a horrible May and June and were in desperate need of some pool time. So we headed to this town called Leavenworth. It is funny because my daddy grew up in a town called Leavenworth in Kansas.

Leavenworth is a Bavarian themed town with lots of fun stuff to do. They had a big kids event on July 4th with crafts, music and fun activities. I did a lot of dancing to the german polka music (mommy tried to upload the video here but it won't work so she'll have to post it on Flickr and post separately. The video of me dancing the chicken dance is definitely worth its own post anyway!).

I rode on my first horse and buggy ride and on the way home we stopped at this really cool farm that had a petting zoo and this cool trailer pull ride. I wouldn't let mom or dad come on the ride with me even though it said kids 3 and under had to have a parent with them. I was so brave and did it all alone! The man drove really fast all around the farm and I loved it. My hat blew off and mommy had to go find it.

Here are some pictures and video from our fun weekend. This weekend I'm going on my first camping trip! Stay tuned for some great photos next week.

Summer fun

Sorry its been so long since I posted anything, but we've been on the road again traveling. We kicked off our travels with a trip to Palos Verdes, CA for a short trip with mommy for a work trip she had to take. Me and Daddy stayed a couple days and we rented bikes and rode along Redondo Beach and saw seals at the harbor. I also went swimming at the hotel pool which I loved! We stayed only a couple days because mommy had to focus on work and we were too much of a distraction. Daddy was very nervous about flying home alone with me, but I was an angel as usual on the plane so it was no sweat and he's ready to do it again anytime!

Then after mommy got home we left for Boston for a week to visit our family in Natick, MA and go to my cousin Kasey's high school graduation party. It was so much fun to see all our family since it had been almost a year. I played with a bunch of different cousins and went to a really cool zoo with my aunt bubby that had the cutest baby goats that I could pet. I also got to see a bunny that lives in my grandpa and grandma's yard. My grandpa puts food out on the back porch every morning and the squirrels, bunny, birds and chipmunks come to eat it. It's like Wild Kingdom. I would sit and eat my breakfast and watch them eat theirs.

I wish we didn't live so far away from our family so I could play with my cousins all the time. I told mommy we're going to have to take more frequent trips than once a year to see them.

Here are some pictures and videos from both trips. Next up, Cabo!

Crib Buddies

Today at naptime I decided to line all my crib buddies up and cover them with my favorite blanket so they could all take nappies together. Mommy took a count and I'm up to nine buddies I sleep with. Each morning I pick and chose which ones are lucky enough to come out of the crib for the day and play with me. Bunny (the dirty white one in the middle) is always at the top of the list, but lately I like my Otter (who we call otterpop) and my duck. He's new to the group.

As you can see, its getting pretty crowded in my crib and I'm running out of space to sleep. That's my new ploy to get mom and dad to let me sleep with them:)

21 Months and Counting

I am 21 months now and have lived in WA for a year! Amazing how time flies. We've been busy lately making the most of the good weather we recently started having. Below are some pictures of me in my daily life, hiking and at the zoo.

I am talking up a storm and repeat pretty much everything mommy and daddy say. I love to go to the park and walk the dogs (I can say all their names and love repeating them constantly) I love pizza and I still have to take bunny (I call him "bun" for short) everywhere we go.
Enjoy!
