This has been a busy week for me. It started off with my first visit to the doctor's for my two- week checkup. I didn't like it so much because my dr. had really cold hands and they made me strip down to just my diaper so when he touched me it made me very mad. It was the first time I fully cried and mommy and daddy were very upset. Now I know how to use my lungs and have been trying them out this week.

The dr. said I was a perfect baby. I was weighed and measured again and weighed 6 lbs. 14 oz. which puts me in the 10 percentile category for my age for weight. My head is in the 50% category and my length (still 20 inches) is 20%. Looks like I need to gain some weight, but the dr. said it was a great sign that I had surpassed my birth weight.

Then yesterday I sucked my thumb for the first time. Mommy tried to give me a binky a couple times but I don't like them so I figured out how to find my thumb instead. I'm still a bit awkward with it (see picture), but I figure over time I'll be able to master it and use it in emergencies (or to give mommy a break once in a while).

Mommy posted the picture of my toes because she thinks they look like Fred Flintstone toes, especially the big toe. I think they look like her toes so there!

Next week it gets exciting as we have family arriving starting next week through the month of September. I'll get to meet my three sets of grandparents from Boston, Kansas and Sedona and my aunt/uncle and cousins from Kansas. I'm also looking forward to getting out of the house more and exploring the world. Mommy said it was too hot this week to take me out so we're waiting for it to cool down.

I'll try to get more exciting pictures next week when we venture out. I'm sure people are gettiing sick of seeing me sleeping (even though mommy thinks its so cute!).

It's been almost two weeks since I entered this world and I'm growing up so fast. I have already gained 1 lb. since coming home with mommy and daddy. My official weight now is 7 lbs.

I've had lots of visitors this week and yesterday my auntie Amber hung out with me all day. We watched the Olympics and just relaxed.

Daddy goes back to work part-time this week and I'm sure going to miss him. He picks me up whenever I make a peep and doesn't like sharing me much with mommy. Oh, and we found out this week that i've been accepted into the new Google Daycare Center called The Orchard opening in October. That means I can go to work with Daddy everyday and he can come visit me at lunch time. Jack dog is sure going to be jealous about that because he loves going to work with daddy too.
