The Furry Friends Walk

Captain Girl bobbing for hotdogs

Bella going for the gold.

Today we did the 5K Furry Friends walk to raise money for homeless doggies. Unfortunately, mommy and daddy didn't check the camera battery and it was dead so we couldn't take any pictures but we got some funny video of the hotdog bobbing contest. My doggie, Captain Girl, and our friend Susannah's dog Bella took part in the contest. Jack Dog doesn't like water so he passed.

There were about 10 dogs that competed to bob in the water for the pieces of hotdog and eat them in the shortest time. Shockingly, Captain didn't win, Bella did!!

Have fun watching the videos.

My first pumpkin patch

Today we tried to go to an Octoberfest festival near our house but it was so crowded we couldn't find parking so we ended up at a pumpkin patch instead.

We tooks lots of pictures and bought some mini pumpkins just for me.

Tomorrow we're doing the Furry Friends walk with Captain and Jack to raise money for the San Jose Animal Care Services. We might take Molly and put her in the bottom basket of my stroller like we did today. She got really tired on our way home from our walk so mommy stuck her in there and she loved it (you can see her nose sticking out of the stroller basket in the picture).

Hope you are having a good weekend.

Love, Summer

Brewing beer and lunching with the ladies

me and mommy lunching with the ladies

Kimber, me and Nancy

Dan, daddy, me and Carl brewing beer.

Well this has been a very busy week. First, mommmy dragged me all over town trying to buy a new car. She finally found the one that she wanted, the Ford Escape Hybrid, and we picked it up yesterday. I like it too because its good for the environment, gets great gas mileage, and is smaller than our Sequoia so mommy can reach back to me while she's driving and rock my car seat if I am fussy and need some attention.

Then Wednesday night I hung out with daddy while he brewed beer with his buddies Carl and Dan. That was fun. Daddy thinks it would be a good skill for me to have in case the economy doesn't get better and I need to start my own business (like a brewery).

And then yesterday I went with mommy to her friend Kimber's birthday lunch. There were eight women there fighting to get their hands on me. I was a very good girl and made mommy proud.

Ok, well I'm sure I'll have more to talk about after this weekend. We have lots planned.

Helping to cure Diabetes

Today my mommy and auntie Amber did the Step Out event to help find a cure for Diabetes, something near and dear to our hearts because auntie Amber is diabetic.

I told mommy she could use my blog to talk about it and post some pictures from the event. They saw Sharkie (the San Jose Sharks mascot) and got to take a picture with him! I'm so jealous.

Anyway, here are some pictures of them at the event.

Growing up too fast

Hi, I thought I'd share a video from this past week of activities that me and mommy do while hanging out together. She keeps putting me on my activity mat and making me practice laying on my belly and holding my head up. I really don't like it because its so much work! One day it wore me out so much I fell asleep right then and there. Oh, and speaking of sleep, I slept 9 hours straight last night, woke up for a feeding for 15 minutes and then went back to sleep again for 4 hours! Mommy is lovin' it! She thinks I must be growing again because all I want to do is sleep. Daddy says every day when he gets home from work I have grown more since when he left. They both get sad about it and keep telling me to stop growing so fast. The other video is of me sitting in my high chair. I like to sit in it and hang out with mom and dad while watching TV. I know TV is bad for me, but it mesmerizes me and I can't turn away! Talk to you soon, Summer
