Our Trip to Portland

This week we went to Portland, Oregon for Daddy's work conference. Mommy and I hung out shopping and walking around the city while Daddy worked. It was really hot while we were there so mommy took me for a walk to the park on the waterfront and we found this cool outdoor fountain. There were a bunch of kids running through the fountain so I decided to join in. I walked right in my dress and everything! I had so much fun that Mommy and Daddy took me back the next day again. We also rented a bike and rode all around the waterfront area. I loved sitting in the front and checking out the sights. Then, on our last day we went to the Portland Zoo. I saw the cutest baby elephant and other animals that I've never seen before.

When I travel I like to start the trip out by making a huge mess of the hotel room. I especially like getting into Mommy's suitcase and pulling all the clothes out. Mom and Dad said I'll probably grow up to be a rock star based on how I can destroy a hotel room in record time!

Enjoy my pictures.

Mr. Bunny: Before and After

My favorite toy and companion is my bunny. My aunt Cel and uncle Ted sent me him before I was born and he has become my constant companion. I sleep with him, suck on his ears and tail and take him everywhere with me. Mommy and daddy were concerned that we might lose him (like they lost one of my other favorite bunnies) so daddy found the exact same one on the Internet and it arrived today.

Below is a picture of what Mr. bunny looked like when I first got him and what he looks like now after a year of sucking on him and washing him at least once a week (because his ears and tail smell so bad from sucking them!).

The funny thing is mommy had a bunny, she named Cabbage, when she was a baby and slept with him every night (even took him on business trips) until she was 22! She said he was originally pink just like my bunny but by the time she threw him away (which she regrets now), he looked just like my bunny.

Lovin' My Radio Flyer

I love my new Radio Flyer wagon so much that I've started hanging out in it in the house and today I ate my lunch while in it! Mommy filled it with balls today just to make it even more exciting for me!

Weekend of Fun

We had so much fun this weekend I thought I'd share some photos. On Saturday we found this really cool park near one of daddy's friends house so we stopped and played and daddy took a bunch of pictures. Mommy even joined in the fun and went on the swings. She said she hadn't done that in a very long time. And today we went to the Mt. Si Festival in North Bend, WA (next town over from us). Grammy and Granddad bought me a new Radio Flyer wagon for my birthday and daddy put it together for me so we took it to the festival. It was so cool to ride in that and not my stroller. We ate a bunch of junk food and hung out and listened to the live music. Daddy even ate a deep fried Twinkie!!

Enjoy my pictures and talk to you soon.

Highlights From My Birthday Bash

Mommy finally got around to uploading some photo highlights from my big 1st birthday bash we had last weekend in San Jose. Since I've turned one year old I've been a handful and mommy hasn't gotten much sleep this week. I've decided that I no longer want to eat food and only want to nurse (constantly) and I also don't want to sleep at night (or at least in my crib). So mommy's dreams of weaning me and of me sleeping through the night now that I'm one have all gone awry. I figure I might as well challenge her now so she can get prepped for my terrible two's:).

Anyway, I want to say thank you to all our friends and family for the awesome gifts and a special thanks to Bernie for all her help with my party and the beautiful cupcakes she made for me. I also want to thank my auntie Amber for letting us take over her apartment while we were in town and watching me while mommy and daddy went out on a date night for the first time in 7 months!

Enjoy my photos.
