Family Hike at Mt. Si

This past weekend we went on a family hike at Mt. Si, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Si.
We only took Jack Dog though because the two fat girls (Captain and Molly) probably wouldn't have been able to make it up the steep trail we did. We got a new hiking backpack that I get to sit in, but I only like it for an hour or so and then I want out. So the downhill was a bit hairy (and major workout) because mommy and daddy had to take turns carrying me.

It is so beautiful here with so many hiking trails to discover. We're going to try to find a new one every weekend.

Tomorrow will be one month since we moved to Washington and I love it so far.

I'm 10 Months Old And Ready To Walk!

Well yesterday was another big milestone, my 10 month birthday. In celebration of the big day I decided to take a few steps on my own the night before. I also got one of my top front teeth a few days before that and I think the other one is about to break through (or at least mommy thinks that's why I haven't been sleeping at night very well this last week). I talk alot too (well babble), especially to the dogs. But I can say "da da" really well and "ma ma" once in a great while.

For my big day I went to the park with my new friends Jacob and Kendall. They are 9 months and 8 months respectively. They are going to be great fun to play with once we can all walk and run around together.

Good Times

We've had some good times this past weekend. Here's some pictures of me at our neighborhood park, the Cougar Mountain Zoo, in the tub with daddy and at The Little Gym for my first workout (mommy is starting me early).

This weekend it was gorgeous weather here in Washington (finally!) and we went exploring and found a really cool State Park a couple miles from our house and went hiking. The trail had beautiful views of Rattlesnake Lake. Luckily we didn't come across any on the trail.

We also went and checked out a new off-leash dog park that just opened up about 2 miles from our house. There were some really big doggies there which scared our dogs at first. But Molly found a friend (see pic).

Next week I start my new gym classes with mommy and daddy. That's going to be fun!
